Canon PIXMA iP2850 printer Driver |
Canon Pixma iP2850 is currently sold at an average price of around £ 40 online, which of course makes him one of the most affordable inkjet printers we've ever encountered. But while the print quality was very good for a cheap printer, the price of ink cartridges mean that iP2850 is not cheap enough that it might seem.
Canon PIXMA iP2850 is designed neat little printer, measuring only 426mm wide, 134mm high and 235mm deep, so it can fit easily into your Mac side table. at the table, though, as a low cost means that iP2850 excluding Wifi to connect to your home network so you have to plug a USB printer using good old-fashioned cable.
With the support of Mac Canon also left something to be desired. As a Canon printer that we reviewed in the past, Canon iP2850 Mac software not included on the CD included in the box, so we have to look at Canon's website to search for Mac software. It was no great hardship, but it did not make a bad first impression - especially when the software is several hundred megabytes in size and takes a few minutes to download. We also found the Mac printer software a bit confusing, because you can adjust the print quality in the two pull-down menu apart - which means that it is possible to choose the quality 'good' in the menu and low-quality 'draft' mode other.
Fortunately, the print quality does not turn out to be very good. Canon uses a pigment-based black ink specially produces excellent text, with finely detailed character that comes close to the quality of a laser printer. Output Color is good too, and iP2850 even managed to produce a 4x6 photo print in just 45 seconds, which is pretty good going for an affordable printer.
However, mono and color printing is not fast, with the iP2850 managing only five pages per minute for mono and 1.5ppm only for mixed text-and-graphics. Those speeds are still very adequate for light use in the home, but the cost of replacement ink cartridges that might put you off.
Color printing is not too bad, because the cost of high-yield color cartridge Canon XL £ 25 and lasts for approximately 300 pages, which comes to 8.3 cents per page. However, XL black ink cartridge costs £ 22 and lasts for 400 pages, which works out at 5.5p per page - well above average for mono printing simple and very suitable for your business.
